FINANCE COORDINATOR
We are currently searching for an experienced single status incumbent in the position of Finance Coordinator based at our North Mara Mine Site, Tanzania, working an 8 weeks on and 4 weeks off roster. This position has excellent prospects within Barrick and the work is varied and rewarding. Barrick trains staff at the highest level in leadership, environmental and safety.
Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate for this position would demonstrate the following primary knowledge, skills, and attributes:
• Budget preparation and reporting
• Contract drafting and recruitment – will be an advantage
• Full financial function on the site including preparation of month end reports
• High level of MS Office and its applications
• Liaison with both internal and external auditors
• Preparation and compilation of all departmental cost reports
• Preparation of the daily cash flow models
• Preparation of monthly reports
• Responsible for accounts payable function and training to junior staff members
• Responsible for capital expenditure reporting – stand in on rotation
• Responsible for maintenance / reporting of Sarbanes Oxley, Tax – both Corporate and individual
• Training of local staff – on the job and in training facilities
• Warehouse and inventory accounting
• Must be able to speak, read and write English.
Qualifications & Experience:
Qualification
• CPA, Finance Diploma or Degree in Accounting field
Experience
• Must have had month end experiences meeting tight deadlines
• At least 5 years experience in a supervisory / management financial related field
• Previous experience on Pronto, Oracle and Hyperion computer systems will be an advantageous
