The Prime Minister, H.E. Mr. Jens Stoltenberg,
will arrive in Dar es Salaam in the evening of 20 April. He will be accompanied by his wife, Mrs.
Ingrid Schulerud. The Prime Minister will have bilateral discussions with H.E. President Kikwete and key members of Government at State House on Monday 21 April.
The Norwegian Minister of the Environment and International Development, H.E. Mr. Erik Solheim, will be part of the Prime Minister’s delegation. The Prime Minister is in Tanzania to develop further the strong and solid relationship that exists between Tanzania and Norway, both on national and global level.
Tanzania has for over 30 years been among the development partners of Norway and is at present one of Norway's main partner countries.The Prime Minister will in particular look into issues related to climate change and forestry;maternal and child health (the Millennium Development Goals 4 and 5) and the UN reform.
