• Fashion For Health in aid of the Zanzibar Mental Hospital
VODACOM Tanzania, through Vodacom Foundation, will this year sponsor a charity fashion show (Fashion 4 Health black & gold gala night) by Mustafa Hassanali in aid of the Zanzibar Mental hospital in Zanzibar on July 30th.
The show is being in Zanzibar for the third year in a row and is organized by Explore Zanzibar.
“This is the third year in a row, we Hosting the Islands Premier and Biggest Fashion Show with Mustafa Hassanali , and we are All ready for Fridays Nights Gala Soirée”, said Maryam Olsen, Managing Director of Explore Zanzibar.
To support her calling, Vodacom Foundation and Mustafa Hassanali have joined forces to create a synergy that will benefit various people at the Zanzibar mental hospital.
“With The Best in Names from the Fashion Industry, Its My Responsibility as a creative entrepreneur to Give back to the Society in the smallest way possible, and together with various individuals From the Tanzanian Fashion Fraternity we lead the way”, stated Mustafa Hassanali, who together with Explore Zanzibar supports the work of the Mental Hospital of Zanzibar (Kidongo Chekundu).
Mustafa Hassanali, Tanzania’s most renowned fashion designer shall unveil his new creations Aptly named “Karafuu” inspired by the Cloves of Zanzibar at Zanzibar Serena Inn in Stone Town, with models from Dar es Salaam Like M’Net Face of Africa 2010 finalist Lillian Mduda, Kisura Tanzania 2009 Winner Diana Ibrahim amongst other top models and Former beauty queens. Also Part of this Event is Renowned Tanzanian Hair and Make up Artiste Rehema Samo.
Zanzibar’s renowned designer, Farouque Abdella shall curtain raise the event together with MAGO Designs who represent Best of the Zanzibar Fashion Brand names.
Tanzanite Band, from Dar es Salaam will provide the live band music and tunes for the Zanzibari Fashionistas to Party the Night away which shall be hosted by Celebrity Radio Presenter Babbie Kabaye
“Charity begins at Home and if we Do not support our Own people and institutions, whom are we waiting for then? It’s the Small steps that count and am Honoured that Maryam Olsen and Zanzibaris Have given me the Opportunity to Lead the way by taking that Step” stated Mustafa Hassanali.
