What do you say about this !!!

.
;
;

Early to bed and early to rise makes you healthy, wealthy as well as wise. And that is not merely an age-old saying. It works in daily life too. Read on to know how.

1. Time to Exercise
Waking up early gives you the time to exercise. You can easily go for a jog, do a few laps in the pool, practice yoga or hit the gym with plenty of time at hand.

2. Time to Meditate
There is nothing like beginning the day with a dose of meditation. It will help calm your mind and sharpen your reflexes to keep you going through your busy schedule of work.

3. Experience the Charm of Early Morning
Only an early morning person knows the charm and serenity that those hours offer. The silence, the birds chirping, the absence of cars honking, and the sunrise are all advantages only early rising can offer.

4. Increase Productivity and Efficiency
A study conducted at the Texas University in 2008 revealed that early risers are more prone to be productive and efficient at work. In fact, students who wake up early are known to get higher grades than those who wake up late.

5. Eating Breakfast
Breakfast is known to be the most important meal of the day. Often, you may land up skipping it if you are running late for work. An early start to the day ensures that this significant meal is never given the slip.

6. Less Stress
Giving you ample time to get ready on time, waking up early ensures that you suffer less stress. Beat the traffic and drive to work at ease.

7. Set Routine
Once you get into the habit of rising early, you are able to set a routine and that obviously leads to better productivity not only at work, but also on the home front and as an individual.

8. Brighter Mood
Early risers are known to be happier and more optimistic than night owls. The latter are known to suffer depression, insomnia and pessimism. The bright start with exercise and optimism is bound to keep you feeling energised and optimistic all day.

9. Better Health
Proper routine and exercise are known factors in ensuring better health in the long run. Waking up early ensures you set aside time to work out. Late risers lack the advantage of time for this.

10. Better Finances
Improved health, enhanced productivity and ameliorated energy can only result in one thing  a higher rate of success. And when this happens in your career, can financial triumph be far behind? So, rise early to kickstart a really great way of doing well in the professional sphere as well.

The benefits of waking up early are myriad. It doesn't take much to change your lifestyle to avail these benefits. After all, personal and professional well-being, and ultimate success are what everyone seeks. So, why not adopt a healthier way of living and reap those benefits?

Neno La Leo: Na Wabunge Wetu Wengine Ni Wezi, Hakyamungu!

Ndugu zangu,

Waziri Muhongo ameusema ukweli wake kule Dodoma.

Kijana yule akauliza; ” Mie nataka ukweli kilo nzima, mbona hujaandika bei?”
” Alaa,  unataka kilo nzima ya ukweli?” Aliuliza mwenye duka.
” Naam” Akajibu kijana yule.
” Basi, zunguka uje ndani nikuambie bei yake”.

Alipoingia ndani dukani, kijana yule akaambiwa;
” Kijana, hatukuandika bei, maana, gharama ya ukweli mzima ni uhai wako. Je, uko tayari?”

Kijana yule akatimua mbio. Nyuma aliacha vumbi.

Maggid Mjengwa,
Sweden.

dar nayo ipo!

25 Most Dirtiest Cities In The World

No. 25: Port Harcourt, Nigeria

Mercer Health and Sanitation Index Score: 46.8

Problems with waste disposal continue to contaminate the rivers of Nigeria, especially affecting residents in Port Harcourt. The area lacks strategies for preventing oil spills and contamination, and the clean-up methods after disasters require significant improvement.

No. 24: New Delhi, India

Mercer Health and Sanitation Index Score: 46.6

You'll find just about everything except marine life in New Delhi's Yamuna River. Garbage and sewage flow freely, creating a rich environment for the growth of water-borne diseases contributing to extremely high rates of infant morbidity.

No. 23: Maputo, Mozambique

Mercer Health and Sanitation Index Score: 46.3

Located on the Indian Ocean, the Eastern African country of Mozambique suffers from lack of sanitation processes--specific ally the lack of a solid waste removal system as well as sewage treatment. The capital city of Maputo feels the worst of these consequences. Piles of garbage line the streets, and the sewage in the river is visibly thick.

No. 22: Luanda, Angola

Mercer Health and Sanitation Index Score: 45.2

Located on Angola's coast with the Atlantic Ocean to its west, Luanda is the city's largest port. Studies from several agencies, including UNICEF and Oxfam, suggest that a large portion of the population in Luanda drink water of poor and in some cases dangerous quality. Much of this portion of the population lives in settlements called musseques built on hardened waste. Water arrives to these settlements in private tanks, which consistently show concerning levels of chlorine. Water conditions such as this only served to intensify a cholera epidemic in 2006.

No. 21: Niamey, Niger

Mercer Health and Sanitation Index Score: 45

The Niger River Basin, home to Niger's capital city, Niamey, is a cesspool of pollution and waste. In a country with a total population just under 14 million, the healthy life expectancy at birth is 35 for males and 36 for females, thanks in part to poor sanitation and drinkable water. About one in four children raised here will die before age 5, the World Health Organization says.

No. 20: Nouakchott, Mauritania

Mercer Health and Sanitation Index Score: 44.7

Located in northern Africa, Mauritania sits on the North Atlantic Ocean between Senegal and the western Sahara. Nouakchott, the country's capital, is located on the western coast. Due to the desert-like climate, droughts and water management are critical issues for the country. Oil deposits off the coast and iron ore serve as the country's main industrial opportunities, but the majority of the population depends on farming.

No. 19: Conakry, Guinea Republic

Mercer Health and Sanitation Index Score: 44.2

Life expectancy, infant morbidity, and the percentage of the population that has access to safe water are shockingly low for Conakry, the capital city of Guinea Republic. Previous World Bank initiatives in Conakry focused on water supply and sanitation have not proved very successful.

No. 18: Lome, Togo

Mercer Health and Sanitation Index Score: 44.1

Lomé, the capital city of Togo, sits in the southwest near the country's border with Ghana. Water and waste management has become one of the country's main problems as a large percentage of the population continues to live without access to improved water or sanitation. Extensive flooding in Togo only magnifies the problem.

No. 17: Pointe Noire, Congo

Mercer Health and Sanitation Index Score: 43.8

The second Congolese city on the list suffers from many of the same pollutants as its neighboring city, Brazzaville- -air pollution from vehicle emissions and unbridled water contamination from the mass unloading of raw sewage in the city's water supply. According to the CIA WorldFactBook, about 70% of the Congolese population live either in Brazzaville or Pointe Noire or along the railroad track, which connects the two.

No. 16: Bamako, Mali

Mercer Health and Sanitation Index Score: 43.7

Bamako, the capital of Mali, and the country's largest city is situated on the Niger River. Rapid population growth, coupled with unbridled urban pollution, are among the many health and sanitation challenges facing the capital. Several droughts have caused migration from rural areas to the urban environment of the capital, which has only led to more water management issues.

No. 15: Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso

Mercer Health and Sanitation Index Score: 43.4

A recent World Bank study shows that cancer and respiratory disease rates are up due to increased air pollution in Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso. Increased levels of benzene, from motorbike petrol, and increased dust particles, amounting on average to nearly three times the WHO-stated healthy limit, contribute to these rising numbers. In a city characterized by a rainy season, waste management and sanitation also face challenges.

No. 14: Moscow, Russia

Mercer Health and Sanitation Index Score: 43.2

In a city where you can pay $3,000 a month for an apartment that doesn't even have clean running water, Moscow also has troubling levels of air pollution, which present a daily strain on lung health.

No. 13: Bangui, Central African Republic

Mercer Health and Sanitation Index Score: 42.1

Bangui, the capital of Central African Republic, faces water and sanitation challenges similar to its neighboring countries' capitals. A rapidly increasing population, coupled with a lack of adequate waste and water management, places stresses on the capital city.

No. 12: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Mercer Health and Sanitation Index Score: 40.4

The capital of this east African country continues to grow populationwise, putting a stress on the city's sanitation programs. Solid waste, entering the Msimbazi River, contributes to widely spread infectious diseases among the population..

No. 11: Ndjamena, Chad

Mercer Health and Sanitation Index Score: 39.7

Ndjamena, the capital city of Chad, faces multi-faceted water management challenges. A main site for concern here is the Conventional Basin of Lake Chad, upon which the country's main fisheries greatly depend. Also noteworthy-- the continual influx of population growth, accelerated by the migration of neighboring Sudanese refugees from Darfur, which places an unexpected strain on water management.

No. 10: Brazzaville, Congo

Mercer Health and Sanitation Index Score: 39.1

Air pollution from emissions, lack of potable water and the contamination of the city's water from raw sewage contribute to the laundry list of health and sanitation concerns for Brazzaville, the capital of Congo. Each of these press upon the life expectancy of the local population.

No. 9: Almaty, Kazakhstan

Mercer Health and Sanitation Index Score: 39.1

The marriage of petroleum-based industry and insufficient safeguards against pollution sets the stage for an environmental crisis in this city. Toxic waste dumps require a huge price tag for improvement and an even larger price for neglect.

No. 8: Baghdad, Iraq

Mercer Health and Sanitation Index Score: 39

Poor water quality in Baghdad threatens to exacerbate the the transmission of water-borne diseases in the city. Fatal outbreaks of cholera struck several provinces of the country, including Baghdad from August 2007 to December 2007. The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) also says air pollution, resulting from burning oil and aggravated by war, is cause for concern.

No. 7: Mumbai, India

Mercer Health and Sanitation Index Score: 38.2

India's government hopes to transform Mumbai back into a burgeoning metropolis after recent economic decline. A recent private-sector report, Vision Mumbai, proposed changes in infrastructure, pollution control and economic growth strategy, which contributed to the seeking of approximately $1 billion of aid from Indian government.

No. 6: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Mercer Health and Sanitation Index Score: 37.9

Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, faces one of the worst sanitation problems on both the continent of Africa as well as in the world. The lack of adequate sanitation programs results in infant mortality, low life expectancy and the transmission of water-borne diseases.

No. 5: Mexico City, Mexico

Mercer Health and Sanitation Index Score: 37.7

Mexico City, the capital of Mexico, and the capital of North American air pollution, estimates unhealthy ozone emissions nearly 85% of the year. Mexico's geographical location--in the center of a volcanic crater and surrounded by mountains--only serves to lock in the air pollution, causing smog to sit above the city.

No. 4: Port au Prince, Haiti

Mercer Health and Sanitation Index Score: 34

The country's politically inspired violence and corruption are well documented. Equally dangerous: its air and water. Serving as one of the main ports on the island of Hispaniola, Port au Prince is central to Haiti's economic development. A lack of pollution controls, however, contributes to the widespread environmental problems confronting the Haitian city.

No. 3: Antananarivo, Madagascar

Mercer Health and Sanitation Index Score: 30.1

Madagascar, located off of the southeastern coast of Africa in the Indian Ocean, makes this year's list with its capital city, Antananarivo. Well known for its variety of unique flora and fauna, Madagascar has often been referred to as the world's eighth continent, but the effects of the human population are quickly leaving their footprint.

No. 2: Dhaka, Bangladesh

Mercer Health and Sanitation Index Score: 29.6

Located in southern Asia, between Burma and India, Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh battles with the constant threat of water pollution. Surface water is often thick with disease and pollutants from the use of commercial pesticides. With an estimated 150 million people living in a relatively small area, cleaning up the problem won't be easy.

No. 1: Baku, Azerbaijan

Mercer Health and Sanitation Index Score: 27.6

Surrounded by Iran, Georgia, Russia and Armenia on the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan has long been an oil hub. As a consequence, Baku, the capital, suffers from life-threatening levels of air pollution emitted from oil drilling and shipping.

MARIJUANA CURES CANCER!

Post image for MARIJUANA CURES CANCER

MARIJUANA CURES CANCER!

by Doug Yurchey
YOU ARE INVITED TO VIEW POSSIBLY THE BEST FILM EVER ON MEDICAL MARIJUANA PLEASE READ ARTICLE AND VIEW BELOW LINK TO LEN RICHMOND’S 49-MINUTE DOCUMENTARY ‘WHAT IF CANNABIS CURED CANCER?’ (narrated by Peter Coyote).
Recently, hemp has been proven to be anti-inflammatory; anti-spasmodic and anti-bacterial.  Hemp (meaning MARIJUANA) can treat depression, traumatic stress syndrome, chronic pain, glaucoma, Tourette syndrome, nausea, migraines, multiple scleroses and many other ailments without the bad side effects of pharmaceutical drugs.
Historical evidence shows the holy anointing oil of Old Testament Hebrews contained cannabis extract.  Early Christians used cannabis as part of their baptismal rituals.  In the 1800s, medical journals published hundreds of articles on the therapeutic uses of the drug known as Cannabis Indica or Indian hemp.
Cannabis was often prescribed by doctors and a part of every medical bag until the 1930s.  Medicinal products in many forms once contained cannabis extract.  Hemp was a popular treatment for labor pains, asthma, menstrual cramps, rheumatism and nervous disorders.  Hemp was even given to cranky babies to get them to stop crying.  Queen Victoria smoked pot for medical reasons.
The end of cannabis used as medicine (after thousands of years) came in the early part of the 20th Century.  With the advent of chemically created drugs and a ‘profit-driven assembly line medical system,’ hemp had stiff competition.  Cannabis was wildly popular and greatly preferred by patients and doctors over the new (artificial) ‘miracle drugs.’  Soon, this would drastically change.
After lobbying by pharmaceutical/chemical companies and related industries (Hearst/Dupont) along with ‘scare-tactic’ films like ‘Reefer Madness,’ the tide turned against cannabis.  Rich moguls of a CHEMICAL way of doing things created the menace of MARIHUANA!  In doing so, NATURAL cures and the greatest medicine of them all were doomed.  Safe, proven (ancient) remedies were removed from public access while we were forced into a world of artificial products and toxic chemicals.
In 1937, a federal law was passed which prohibited doctors from prescribing cannabis in any form and under any circumstances.  Doctors were threatened with prosecution and jail sentences under this law.  All hempen products and medicines in their wide varieties were now illegal.  They virtually disappeared.  [Note from the Editor:  Don't miss The Marijuana Conspiracy - The Real Reason why Hemp is Illegal ]
In modern times, countless studies have shown no link to cannabis smoking and cancer (unlike legal tobacco).  In fact, heavy marijuana users have considerably fewer cancers than the general population.  Incidents of lung cancer in people who smoke cannabis were LESS than people who smoked nothing at all.
Investigations by independent teams on different continents failed to find a positive association between marijuana and any disease.  There was no nexus between cannabis and schizophrenia or other mental illnesses.  Even heavy usage of hemp did not lead to any type of psychosis or brain damage.  Could Marijuana be a cure for physical and mental illnesses?  Indications were that it was also an ‘anti-psychotic’ instead of how its effects were portrayed in the 1930s.
In 1964, the active compound in the plant or agent that gets the user ‘high’ was discovered and called Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).  Weed/grass/pot has been found to FIGHT all major cancers such as brain, breast, lung, prostrate, colon, thyroid, skin, melanoma, pituitary and leukemia.  THC does this by ‘promoting the death of cancer cells that have forgotten how to die while leaving healthy cells untouched.’
How could hemp have any effect on cancer?  Answer:  Endocannabinoids!
We have an Endocannabinoid System or ECS within our bodies.  The natural Cannabinoid System modulates energy intake and nutrient transport; regulates metabolism and storage.  We are already born with a form of cannabis in our bodies.  Our ECS controls a wide range of functions such as in the heart, nervous, immune and reproductive systems.
An amazing amount of THC receptors exist inside every part of our body, especially the brain.  Endocannabinoid messengers communicate with cells.  They protect good cells while they kill harmful ones like cancer cells.  Each of us is fundamentally wired to cannabis.  The SHAPE of THC receptors within us precisely fits the THC molecule.  Humans are the perfect biological partners to cannabis.  The receptors’ purpose and beneficial functions are more enhanced when met (combine) with the THC or when one smokes pot.
It is shocking that an ECS, (based on cannabis’ THC) like a nervous system or immune system, has been a part of our human mechanism for a very long time.  Incredible…that it appears as if we have been ‘made’ to ingest cannabis!  Nothing could be more natural.  We know that hemp seeds are very high in protein and Omega 3 fatty acids.  Hemp could have been the first cultivated plant for food.
A diet pill for the treatment of obesity called Rimonabant (SR141716) was marketed in 2006.  It was the first ‘selective CB1 blocker’ to be approved for use anywhere in the world.  The thinking was, ‘if pot gives you munchies, then blocking the endo-receptors would result in the new diet pill.’  Rimonabant worked, but people became depressed and aggressive.  There were numerous cases of suicides on the drug.  Now, it is considered not worth the risk.
Endo-receptors are also pleasure centers or mood-regulators.  They determined if you are in a euphoric state or a depressed one.  If you artificially blocked the Endocannabinoids in mice, they tended to become violent and depressed.  Mice also developed cancerous tumors on Rimonabant.  The implication here is clear; cannabis is an anti-tumor and anti-cancer agent.
‘There’s nothing else that impacts us on so many of our illnesses…one drug, holistically with our bio-chemistry, that’s able to help us restore balance.  Cannabinoids kill cancer cells in many cases…people are not aware of that.  They think, cannabis…anti-nausea; it’s way beyond that.’    – Dr. Robert Melamede, PhD – University of Colorado
‘There are also studies…that have found that marijuana seeks out the cancerous cells and preferentially kills them over the healthy cells…’        – Dr. David Bearman
Dr. Jeffrey Hergenrather, MD: ‘There’s a wealth of laboratory evidence that these anti-tumor properties kill cancer cells in a variety of ways.  There are multiple mechanisms of action identified by which cannabis kills cancer cells and they are divided into various categories.’
CANNABINOIDS:
  1. ANTIPROLIFERATIVE – stop reproduction of cancer cells.
  2. ANTIANGIOGENIC – stop growth of new blood vessels to cancer cells.
  3. ANTIMETASTATIC – stop the ability to spread to other tissues and organs.
  4. APOPTOTIC – speed death of abnormal cells without disturbing healthy cells.
SETH Research Laboratories in California have demonstrated that in some tumors the cancer cells are killed by marijuana while other healthy cells are left untouched.  Our Endocannabinoid System, especially enhanced by the ingestion of THC, ‘instructs cancer cells to commit suicide.’
Manuel Guzman’s group has directly injected THC into brain tumors of mice and rats.  They found that the tumors regress, shrink and eventually disappear.  Rats survived because of cannabis that would otherwise have died.
‘Why does the corporate media continue to connect marijuana only with gangs, violent drug dealers and society’s losers instead of the growing numbers of doctors and scientists who are discovering its benefits?’
‘…It has the potential to alter the very nature of consciousness by opening up the mind to unpredictable possibilities.  That doesn’t sit well with those who insist on remaining in control.’  – narrator
Hemp is a natural plant and cannot be patented.  Its power would be ‘in the hands of the people and not in the corporations who run a 200 billion dollar cancer business.’
What stops marijuana from being legalized for medical use all across the country?  If hemp’s THC is a panacea or ‘miracle cure’ for cancer, then why does the U.S. government discourage its use?  Why are people still prosecuted and jailed for taking an herbal medicine?  For one thing, it is hard for the public to believe ‘cannabis cures cancer.’  The ‘Menace of Marihuana’ is really the answer to everything?
Cannabinoids are a unique class of compounds not found anywhere else in nature other than in the marijuana plant.  THC intimately and positively touches an incredible system within us that regulates every process.  Yet…more shocking news is the fact that the U.S. government KNEW cannabis tends to kill cancer cells in 1974 and only covered up the evidence.
A study at the Medical College of Virginia (1974-75) led by Dr. Albert Munson showed that cannabis kills cancer cells.  They discovered that ‘THC slowed the growth of three kinds of cancer; lung, breast and virus-induced leukemia.’  The Virginia study group was federally shut down and all further marijuana/tumor research was abandoned.
The DEA has modified its position on cannabis hemp.  Even drug enforcement officials have recognized the medicinal qualities of THC, but discourage the SMOKING of it.  Recent attempts have been made to develop a new Cannabis Pill.  ‘The pharmaceutical companies know that the next big medicine will be a CANNABINOID.’
This writer (author of ‘The Marijuana Conspiracy – the Real Reason Hemp is Illegal’) actually believes ‘they’ keep weed illegal because it makes you think.  The last thing ‘they’ want is a healthy, aware and THINKING general public.

See The 49-minute documentary ‘WHAT IF CANNABIS CURED CANCER?’
Could the chemicals found in marijuana prevent and even heal several deadly cancers? Could the tumor regulating properties of cannabinoids someday replace the debilitating drugs, chemotherapy, and radiation that harms as often as it heals? Discover the truth about this ancient medicine as world renowned scientists in the field of cannabinoid research explain and illustrate their truly mind-blowing discoveries. QUOTES: “What If Cannabis Cured Cancer summarizes the remarkable research findings of recent years about the cancer-protective effects of novel compounds in marijuana. Most medical doctors are not aware of this information and its implications for prevention and treatment. If we need more evidence that our current policy on cannabis is counterproductive and foolish, here it is.” -Andrew Weil, M.D. “A hugely important film” – Julie Holland, M.D. NYU School of Medicine.

This writer disagrees with one point in the documentary.  The filmmaker and a few other scientists are evolutionists.  They believe hemp and Cannabinoids have formed naturally over time.  The narrator even theorizes that hemp/cannabis could have accelerated the early progress of ‘primates.’
There are others who understand that Darwin’s view was…not they way it was.  HEMP…with its myriad of glorious uses and thousands of vital products…is too functional to be an accident of nature!  It has too many perfect, human purposes.  Rather, hemp was manufactured along with other important plants by our ancient ancestors who were far more intelligent than we credit.  Maybe we can learn from the distant past and someday…do things the right way.  Pass along the link and information in the link; it should be known to everyone… [ Note from Editor: you can also use "social icons" at the top of this article to spread this post among your contacts]

Habits That Make You A More Positive Person

The idea of working like a horse throughout the week and binging on the good stuff on weekends doesn’t make a lot of sense if you are prone to harboring a lot of negativity throughout the week. A better approach would be to pamper and reward yourself for the smallest of achievements, on a daily basis. If you have been able to cut down on your sugar intake for the past three days, give yourself a pat on the back and treat yourself with a cookie. If you have been true to your control-smoking plan, gift yourself a new case for your mobile phone.

Exercise Hard & Exercise Daily:

One of these easiest, most effective ways of sustaining your positive aura is to exercise hard. Some folks recommend walking or stretching as good exercises. Though there is nothing wrong with this approach, it would be better if you could exercise harder and work-up some real sweat. Strenuous exercising stimulates your body to release more endorphins. These hormones help to neutralize the action of anxiety and stress-related hormones, helping to keep you in a better frame of mind.
